SARAH J BIRD is an Artist and Recreation Therapist residing in Omaha, NE. As a recreation therapist, Sarah encouraged residents in skilled nursing communities to find purpose through art, music, and leisure pursuits. Sarah's drive to create was rekindled shortly before the pandemic when she was introduced to the beauty of gold, silver and colored leaf from Pat McDermott, a resident where she worked. Throughout the pandemic, Pat mentored, guided, and solidified Sarah's lifelong dream to pursue art. Pat passed away in October of 2021 and a collaborative gallery exhibition, with Steve Joy (Pat's Mentor), was held in his honor in June of 2022. Sarah has been exhibited at the above mentioned June 2022 Collaboration with Steve Joy and Pat McDermott, at Dvorak Law Group in October 2022, Jan- March 2023 at Pacific Springs from January to March 2023, at Sanford Museum in April 2023, and at Split Gallery BOLD also in April 2023.

JENNY BROWN works in collage and drawing from her studio in Providence, RI. Her unique style is best described as layered mixed-media that reflects on "what was, what is, and what could be" in relation to the ongoing spiritual and physical evolution of the universe. Brown earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2005 and a BA from Bennington College in 1996. JAMIE BURMEISTER is an artist and musician based in Omaha, Nebraska. Jamie received an M.F.A. in Sculpture from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2005. His 20 year art career has found him working with many diverse approaches to art making. He experiments with sculpture, painting, drawing, video, sound, installation and interactivity to create artwork in response to his personal experience of the world. Burmeister has exhibited his artwork internationally in galleries, museums and public spaces. Recently his artwork has focused on small 4" tall bronze figures he calls vermin. KEITH D BUSWELL graduated with a BFA in art University of Nebraska--Lincoln. JENNIFER LING DATCHUK is an artist born in Warren, Ohio and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is an exploration of her layered identity - as a woman, a Chinese woman, as an "American," as a third culture kid. Trained in ceramics, Datchuk works with porcelain and other materials often associated with traditional women's work, such as textiles and hair, to discuss fragility, beauty, femininity, intersectionality, identity, and personal history. Her practice evolved from sculpture to mixed media as she began to focus on domestic objects and the feminine sphere. Handwork and hair both became totems of the small rituals that fix, smooth over, and ground women's lives. Through these materials, she explores how Western beauty standards influenced the East, how the non-white body is commodified and sold, and how women's - globally, girls' - work is still a major economic driver whose workers still struggle for equality.
Datchuk holds an MFA in Artisanry from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BFA in Crafts from Kent State University. She has received grants from the Artist Foundation of San Antonio, travel grant from Artpace, and the Linda Lighton International Artist Exchange Program to research the global migrations of porcelain and blue and white pattern decoration. She was awarded a residency through the Blue Star Contemporary Art Museum to conduct her studio practice at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Germany and has participated in residencies at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, Vermont Studio Center, European Ceramic Work Center in the Netherlands, Artpace in San Antonio, Texas and the John Michael Kohler Arts/Industry Residency in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
In 2017, she received the Emerging Voices award from the American Craft Council and in 2020 was named a United States Artist Fellow in Craft. Her work has been featured in a solo publication "Jennifer Ling Datchuk: Half" through French and Michigan in San Antonio, TX, and included in "Artpace at 25", "Black Cube: A Nomadic Museum", the Guardian, Vogue, and American Craft Magazine. Her work is in the collection at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, San Antonio Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. She is an Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Arizona State University and lives and maintains a studio practice in Phoenix, Arizona.

MARCUS FISCHER is a first-generation American sound and visual artist who creates, collects, and transforms audio into immersive, layered soundscapes that accompany performances/installations. SHAWNEQUA LINDER is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts from Bellevue University in (2006). Her work explores the varying relationships between chaos and harmony, whether it's applied in a nontraditional landscape or portrait using combinations of bold palettes and unexpected materials. Her work has been exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions including Omaha's Bemis Center of Contemporary Arts, Museum of Nebraska Art, Gallery 1516 and RNG Gallery.

JUDE MARTINDALE grew up in rural Nebraska and currently lives and paints in Lincoln. Martindale studied biology and art for a BS from UNL before studying portraiture at the Art Students League of New York. She then earned a Masters in Scientific Illustration from the University of Arizona. After moving back to Lincoln, Martindale freelanced as an illustrator and developed her skills with watercolor and abstraction. Her recent book, Flying Free, 2020, showcases her illustrations of sandhill cranes in several different mediums. While Martindale's background includes artistic realism, she has been working with abstract expressionism and abstracted figurative art for the past several years. She has won many awards, is a signature member of the International Society of Experimental Artists, and her art has been shown nationally and internationally. Martindale's crane art is part of the permanent collection at the Great Plains Art Museum in Lincoln, NE.

TROY J. MULLER is an Omaha-based artist and art instructor. He graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA in painting and earned an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry at the University of Nebraska. SOPHIE NEWELL is a mixed media artist from Manchester, England. Through her collages she aims to elevate the mundane and revive items that have been forgotten, discarded or abandoned. Newell earned her BFA from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, in 2009. Born and raised in Omaha, NE, COURTNEY KENNY PORTO's work ranges from comical surrealist animals and colorful abstracts to more serious issues such as inequalities, social pressures, and hardships. Porto Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bethany College with a BA in Studio Art. She has exhibited work in numerous juried and solo exhibitions and has work in private and corporate collections throughout the Midwest. JOSH POWELL is a painter, sculptor, and drawer. He prefers to mix the three and work mostly as a mixed media artist. His mixed media work can be found anywhere from gallery walls to out in the public eye. He has earned a BFA at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He generally has somewhat of an initial plot to each piece but mostly works intuitively. Josh wants people to convey a sense of powerful emotions through his 2d/3d narratives. He works mainly amongst the three surrealist rules; juxtaposition, transformation and dislocation.

THOMAS PRINZ is the principal of Arc-Studio, which is located in Omaha and was established in 1990 to explore the disciplines of Art and Architecture. He received his undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska and a master's degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCOI-ARC) in 1988. He has been an adjunct professor and visiting critic at UNL School of Architecture. He has had exhibitions of his art and architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Creighton University, Projects in Des Moines, Circa Gallery in Minneapolis and Gallery 72. Thomas was recently awarded first place for the international juried competition at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and was the featured artist at the opening of their new gallery space. He has been included in the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts annual actions.

SHANNON SARGENT attended Morningside College and received his BS in art (2000) after serving six years in the United States Marine Corps as a Mountaineering Instructor. He then attended the University of South Dakota and received his MFA in painting (2002). Shannon is the Exhibitions/Collections Coordinator at the Sioux City Art Center where he maintains the permanent collection and installs the exhibitions. Shannon is also an adjunct professor and curator at Morningside College, where he teaches sculpture and manages the galleries. Shannon produces and shows his work in the region and lives in Sioux City, IA.

COLIN C. SMITH's paintings and sculpture expand the conventions of painting. Beginning with the joys of material, color and the graphic image, Smith's newest works are aggressive, buoyant and difficult to classify. The wall works reference minimal painting and expressionism, yet their colors and forms are fully contemporary. The floor sculptures are playful and casual, yet their offhandedness belies a rigorous process and intentional mark making. Colin is interested in making works that charge retinal and interior spaces. They move when you squint and can throw you off balance if you get too close. His abstractions have a liveliness and spirit that is rare in contemporary painting, particularly in works that contain such a restrained and focused bag of tricks. Colin received his BFA in 1988 from the University of Nebraska - Omaha (UNO) and his MFA in 1992 from Drake University. He teaches at UNO.

DOROTHY TUMA, a native Nebraskan, is best known for her black and white architectural photographs. She attended the University Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from Creighton University. RODRIGO VALENZEULA (b. 1982, Santiago, Chile) completed an art history degree at the University of Chile (2004), then worked in construction while making art over his first decade in the United States, completing a BA in Philosophy at Evergreen College and MFA at the University of Washington in 2012. Using staged scenes and digital interventions, Valenzuela's photography, video, and installation work is rooted in the contradictory traditions of documentary and fiction, often involving narratives around immigration and the working class. CRISTINA VICTOR is a Cuban-American artist whose making always stems from the hyphen. Her interdisciplinary practice materializes storytelling, meditations on the failure and power of language, auto-ethnography, and critiques the framing of identity by mass media outlets. Using textiles, sculpture, installation, and public engagement she is committed to creating and facilitating generative exchanges about the complexities of our collective and individual human experience. She received her AA from the New World School of the Arts, Her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. She is currently based in Charleston, South Carolina and is a Professor at the College of Charleston.

YINGHUA ZHU was born in Lanzhou, China in 1979, and graduated with an MFA from the Studio Art department of University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 2010. Zhu's work has always been tied to the self in the context of the world around us. In her site-specific installations, she methodically draws out the relationships between action and consequence. A former artist-in-residence at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and Vermont Studio Center, 2013, and at Headland Center for the Arts, 2014, Zhu regularly collaborates with established organizations. Her recent work includes a mural crafted solely out of Lego bricks for Project Harmony, a non-profit dedicated to preventing child abuse. The University of Nebraska also invited Zhu to create a piece for their Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center, resulting in an immersive installation constructed of tinted mirror shards. She participated in the Klein Sun Residency at Millers Falls Art Bridge in 2015.
